Floyd Cramer - Will It Go Round In Circles

In 1973 Floyd Cramer was the number one session player in Nashville. Jerry Lee Lewis even admitted that Cramer had a "sweeter left hand than me". But Cramer was wildly curious about the possibilities of sound, messing about with cutting edge studio technology (assisted by his producer, the guitar legend Chet Atkins) and incorporating Muscle Shoals horns and a rumbling Dixieland rag into his slick country syncopation. The results were both circular and spectacular.
