Dutch pianist and composer Leo Cuypers is one of the numerous creative geniuses who rose to prominence in the avant-garde hothouse of 70s Europe, while remaining relatively unknown in the States and the rest of the world. In 1981 he recruited Dutch saxophonist Willem Breuker, drummer Han Bennink and bassist Arjen Garter to record Heavy Days Are Here Again.
